Parish Respect Life Committee

Mission Statement: The Respect Life committee actively promotes renewed respect for human life by making the parish a center for life, a place where parishioners understand the issues and the importance of meeting the needs of those who are the most vulnerable.

The committee:

• coordinates parish pro-life activities.
• advocates a pro-life theme within existing parish organizations and programs.
• recommends parish Respect Life programs to the pastor/pastoral staff, including an annual Respect Life calendar.
• develops and implements Respect Life programs.
• serves as liaison with the diocesan Respect Life office.
• networks with deanery Repect Life committees and the deanery coordinator.
• arranges and/or participates in Respect Life events.

A baby basinet is placed at the back of our church on the first Sunday of every other month, beginning with January (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov). Contributions of new seasonal baby clothes, gently-used baby clothes, and other small items, such as newborn disposable diapers, placed in the basinet are given to local crisis pregnancy centers for new mothers and their babies.
